IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2025, PROINVERSIÓN TRAINED AND PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 412 PUBLIC E
Lima, April 14, 2025.- The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) reports that, in the first quarter of 2025, it carried out 1,143 technical assistance, capacity building (training), and outreach activities for 412 public entities and 108 private companies in the country's 24 departments, in the areas of Works for Taxes, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and Projects in Assets.
Technical assistance activities on the above-mentioned topics totaled 689 and included responding to inquiries and holding meetings at the national level for the benefit of 202 public entities: ministries, regional governments, and local governments.
Likewise, in the first quarter of 2025, PROINVERSIÓN held 84 training workshops on the regulations and procedures for Works for Taxes, PPPs, and Projects in Assets nationwide, serving 118 public entities.
With regard to dissemination activities (promotion), the entity carried out 370 activities—through meetings, workshops, and informational events—to disseminate the regulations and procedures for Works for Taxes, PPPs, and Projects in Assets nationwide, both for public entities and private companies, serving 229 public entities and 108 private companies during that period.
These activities are part of PROINVERSIÓN's decentralization strategy, whose main objectives are to transfer knowledge to regional and local governments; provide technical advice; comprehensively map opportunities for the implementation of PPPs, Projects in Assets, and Work for Taxes Programs; and consolidate an investment promotion platform at the service of subnational authorities.
As a result of this intensive capacity building and technical assistance work in the area of Works for Taxes, so far in 2025, public entities have awarded 64 projects worth a record S/ 387 million in key sectors such as education (30%), health (17%), and transportation (13%), among others.
