AWARDING OF WORKS FOR TAXES EXCEEDS S/ 3 BILLION SO FAR IN 2024
Lima, November 16, 2024.- Five bidders will compete in December for Group 4, which includes the construction of three integrated transmission and electrical substation projects that will benefit over 700,000 residents of Áncash (Huaylas and Huaraz), Junín (Chanchamayo), and Ucayali (Padre Abad and Coronel Portillo provinces), reported the Private Investment Promotion Agency - PROINVERSIÓN.
In Group 4, the projects include "220 kV Aguaytía – Pucallpa Link, substations, lines, and associated expansions (ITC Project)", “138-60 kV Increase of Reliability of the Tarma – Chanchamayo Electrical System”, and “Increase of Capacity and Reliability (N-1 Criterion) of the Huaraz Electrical System (ITC Project)”, in which more than US$ 100 million will be invested.
The qualified bidders are Celeo Redes S.L.U.; Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios S.A.; Engie Energía Perú S.A.; Alupar Perú S.A.C.; and Eléctricas de Medellín Perú S.A.
The successful bid will be awarded under the Integrated Projects Tender modality, for 30 years plus a construction period, to the sole bidder whose offer represents the lowest total service cost, in accordance with the terms set out in the bidding terms. The winning bidder will be responsible for designing, financing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the aforementioned projects.
The objective of Group 4 is to strengthen the supply of electric energy and greater reliability and transmission capacity for the benefit of productive, commercial and service activities in Ancash, Junín and Ucayali.
With the award of these three electricity projects, firm progress is being made towards the completion of the package of electricity projects that the Ministry of Energy and Mines commissioned to PROINVERSIÓN in 2023 within the framework of the 2023-2032 Transmission Plan.
From this package, the agency awarded Group 1 this year, consisting of three electricity projects, for US$ 329 million, and Group 2, five transmission and electrical substation projects, for US$ 441 million, respectively.
