PROINVERSIÓN OBTAINS THREE CERTIFICATIONS OF BEST PUBLIC MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
Lima, September 19, 2024.- After a rigorous evaluation, the Agency for the Private Investment Promotion Agency - PROINVERSIÓN, obtained three certifications of Best Public Management Practices 2024, in the categories of Internal Management Systems, Education and Promotion of Economic Development, within the framework of the 20th Award for Best Practices in Public Management 2024, organized by the NGO Ciudadanos Al Día (CAD), the Universidad del Pacífico and Perú Sostenible.
In the Internal Management Systems category, PROINVERSIÓN obtained certification through the practice of the Works for Taxes Investment Monitoring Team (ESI - OXi) in the application of the Integral Intervention Model in the execution of Investments through this mechanism for the strategic management of 237 projects aimed at the restart and/or closure of public education, sanitation and transport works in 19 regions of the country, representing an estimated investment of S/ 4626 million, for the benefit of six and a half million Peruvians.
In addition, CAD considered that the University Extension Course in Public-Private Partnerships and Projects in Assets, which PROINVERSIÓN has been conducting since 2021, meets the necessary conditions to obtain the certification of Bets Practice in Public Management 2024 in the Education category. In the four editions held to date, 76% of graduate students belong to public universities and 24% to private universities.
In the Promotion of Economic Development category, the application of Social Funds for Port Terminals to Promote Economic Development: Synergies to improve the Port-City Relationship and the Efficiency of Public Expenditure, obtained the certification of Best Practice in Public Management 2024.
This is thanks to the incorporation of social funds into port concessions run by PROINVERSIÓN, such as the port terminals of Paita (2010), Paracas (2015) and Salaverry (2019), whose social funds have so far raised around S/ 51 million, S/ 18 million and S/ 20 million, respectively.
These revenues have made it possible to implement projects in education, health, sanitation and productive activities with the purpose of promoting sustainable economic development in their respective areas of influence.
