STATKRAFT PERÚ BUYS TWO RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS

January 26, 2022 - Lima.- Statkraft Perú acquired the shares of the companies GR Vale S.A.C., owner of the LUPI solar project, located in Carumas, Moquegua; and GR Bayovar S.A.C., owner of the EMMA wind project, in Sechura, Piura. In the case of LUPI, it has a capacity of 150MW, and the radiation in the area exceeds that of the projects and solar parks developed by Statkraft in the region. While EMMA in the first stage has a capacity of 72 MW, in the second stage it will have 408 MW of hybrid generation, as it will have a combination of wind and solar. This would be the first hybrid plant in operation in Peru.
