PROINVERSIÓN PROMOTES WATER AND SANITATION PROJECTS ABROAD FOR US$ 1 500 MILLION

Lima - March 9, 2023.- PROINVERSIÓN continues with its active investment promotion policy abroad. Portfolio Director Emerson Castro fulfilled a schedule of activities in Germany, with his participation in the World Water Summit, held in the city of Berlin. During the meeting, the official presented the portfolio of water and sanitation projects 2023-2024, which require an estimated investment of US$ 1 500 million.

At the same summit, the Deputy Director of Timely Execution of Investment, Guido Valverde, participated in the panel on New Rules for Desalination Finance. Afterwards, PROINVERSIÓN officials met with potential investors in the sector at a round table, a space in which they were able to answer questions related to investment opportunities in wastewater treatment. 

Among the projects that attracted the most attention were: Headworks and Conduction Water for Lima (US$ 480 million), Trujillo WWTP (US$ 311 million); Huancayo WWTP (US$ 172 million) and other water and sanitation projects requiring an estimated investment of more than US$ 600 million. 

Denisse Miralles, Director of the Decentralized Investments Division, will participate this week as a panelist at the Latam GRI Infra & Energy 2023 Forum, a renowned event among infrastructure and energy sector participants in Latin America. At the event, held in New York (USA), the PROINVERSIÓN official will promote the investment opportunities of the entity's PPP portfolio, as well as hold bilateral meetings with representatives of investment funds, banks and project development companies.

By participating in both international events, PROINVERSIÓN strengthens its strategy of establishing high-level contacts to facilitate and enhance the dissemination of the portfolio of PPP projects in water and sanitation to close infrastructure gaps during the period 2023-2024.
