About the project
El proyecto comprende el diseño, financiamiento, construcción, operación y mantenimiento de obras nuevas y obras existentes con el objetivo de incrementar la disponibilidad de agua potable para ampliar y mejorar el servicio a 1.5 millones de habitantes en el Este y Sur de Lima. Este proyecto se implementará en 2 fases cuyas obras están constituidas por lo siguiente:
Fase 1:
a) Diseño, financiamiento, construcción, operación y mantenimiento de las siguientes Obras Nuevas:
- Planta Huachipa II para producir 5 m3/s (en 2 etapas de 2.5 m3/s) incluye reservorio principal con un vol. total de 160 000 m3
- Línea de conducción Ramal Sur de 25 km que incluye 2 túneles (total 7 km)
- Reservorios de compensación (5 und) con un volumen total de 69 000 m3
- Líneas de interconexión con una longitud aprox. de 65 Km
b) Operación y mantenimiento de las siguientes Obras existentes:
- Bocatoma Huachipa para captar un caudal de 12 m3/s de agua del río Rímac
- Planta Huachipa I para producir un caudal máximo de 5 m3/s de agua potable
Fase 2:
Diseño, financiamiento, construcción, operación y mantenimiento de las siguientes Obras Nuevas:
- Mejoramiento de las represas Pomacocha y Huallacocha Bajo para 38 MMC
- Túnel Trasandino de 10 km de longitud desde Pomacocha hacia el río Blanco

Proyecto Obras de Cabecera y Conducción para el Abastecimiento de Agua Potable para Lima
DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROYECTO
El Proyecto comprende el diseño, financiamiento, construcción, operación y mantenimiento de las siguientes obras nuevas:
- Optimización de las presas Pomacocha y/o Huallacocha Bajo, para que ambos embalses en conjunto, tengan un volumen útil de 38 MMC.
- Construcción de un túnel trasandino de 10 km aprox. para trasvasar agua desde el embalse Pomacocha hasta el río Blanco (cuenca del río Rímac).
- Construcción de una planta de tratamiento de agua potable Huachipa II para potabilizar 5 m3/s de agua captada del río Rímac (en 2 etapas de 2,5 m3/s cada una).
- Construcción de un reservorio principal de agua tratada con una capacidad total de 160 000 m3, ubicado en el terreno de la planta Huachipa.
- Construcción de una línea de conducción “Ramal Sur” de 26 km aprox. con diámetros entre 2000 mm y 600 mm, desde la planta Huachipa hasta Pachacamac (Manchay), incluyendo 2 túneles: entre Ate y La Molina, y entre La Molina y Pachacamac (Manchay).
- Construcción de 5 reservorios de compensación ubicados en los distritos de Ate-Vitarte (1), La Molina (2), y Pachacamac-Manchay (2), para un volumen total de 69 000 m3.
- Instalación de líneas primarias de conducción de 65 Km aprox. para interconectar 5 reservorios de compensación proyectados con el sistema de distribución existente. Una vez concluidas, estas líneas de interconexión serán operadas y mantenidas por SEDAPAL.
Asimismo, comprende la operación y mantenimiento de las siguientes obras existentes:
- Bocatoma Huachipa ubicada en el río Rímac con un caudal máximo de 12 m3/s.
- Planta Huachipa I con una capacidad de producción 5 m3/s.
- Línea de conducción “Ramal Norte” de 27 km de longitud con diámetros de entre 2000 mm y 800 mm, desde la planta Huachipa I hasta Los Olivos, incluyendo 2 túneles: entre Lurigancho-Chosica y San Juan de Lurigancho, y entre San Juan de Lurigancho y Comas.
- Cuatro reservorios de compensación ubicados en los distritos de Lurigancho-Chosica (Jicamarca de 2000 m3), San Juan de Lurigancho (Canto Grande de 9000 m3) y Comas (Collique de 4000 m3 y Túpac Amaru de 8000 m3).
El concesionario operará estas obras a fin de entregar agua potable a SEDAPAL (a la salida de los reservorios de compensación) bajo las condiciones que se establezcan en el contrato de concesión.
