Lima, September 08, 2026- The Torre Trecca project reached a new milestone today on the path toward the start of its transformation, with the signing of the contract between Consorcio Trecca S.A.C. and HV Salfacorp, a company of the SalfaCorp group, which will be responsible for carrying out the construction work for EsSalud’s future specialized outpatient care complex.
The ceremony was attended by Luis Del Carpio, Executive President of the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN), along with representatives of the concessionaire and the construction company. “This is a new step in a project that had been unable to move forward for many years. At PROINVERSIÓN, we have provided specialized technical support to help remove the obstacles to its implementation, while respecting EsSalud’s role as the grantor. Today, we must acknowledge the concessionaire’s progress toward the execution stage. Our goal is for Public-Private Partnerships to ultimately translate into better services for millions of Peruvians,” said Del Carpio.
As a result of the coordinated work between the Central Government, through the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, EsSalud, and PROINVERSIÓN, the process moved forward quickly. In February of this year, EsSalud and Consorcio Trecca signed Addendum No. 2 to the Public-Private Partnership Agreement, making it possible to overcome technical, contractual and financial issues that had prevented the start of project implementation for more than 15 years.
Consorcio Trecca S.A.C., the project concessionaire and currently a subsidiary of Auna, is responsible for the implementation and subsequent operation of the Trecca Tower through a Public-Private Partnership under the “white coat” model, which covers not only the infrastructure, equipment, and administrative services, but also the management and delivery of specialized healthcare services.
“What matters most is that EsSalud policyholders will receive these services as part of their health coverage, with no additional cost to them for care provided at the Trecca Tower,” emphasized the Executive President of PROINVERSIÓN.
A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE TO EXPAND CARE
The project will restore and modernize 59,140 m² of infrastructure, spread over 26 levels, including three basements. The work includes the partial demolition of certain components, structural reinforcement, remodeling, expansion and comprehensive renovation of the tower, as well as its outfitting with modern medical equipment.
The new Trecca Tower will have more than 145 medical examination rooms and approximately 300 state-of-the-art biomedical devices, including three MRI machines, four CT scanners, and five mammography machines. This capacity will strengthen diagnostic services and specialized care for insured individuals.
It will also provide care in more than 20 specialties, including cardiology, gynecology, gastroenterology, neurology, and pediatrics. In addition, outpatient consultation services, emergency care, care for patients with surgical risk, diagnostic imaging, procedures, and cancer prevention. With its commissioning, EsSalud will be able to double its outpatient care capacity in Lima, helping to decongest the Rebagliati, Almenara and Sabogal healthcare networks and facilitating more timely access to medical consultations and procedures.
PROINVERSIÓN will continue to provide specialized technical assistance for the development of Public-Private Partnerships, helping to mobilize private investment, close gaps in infrastructure and public services, and create better conditions for serving citizens.
