PROINVERSIÓN accelerates awards and consolidates infrastructure portfolio worth more than US$ 40 billion

Between January and July 2026, the agency awarded six projects and two contract amendments worth more than US$ 2.455 billion. It also has a portfolio of 86 projects and seven contract amendments aimed at promoting investment in the transport, sanitation, healthcare, energy, and logistics sectors between 2026 and 2028.

Lima, July 31, 2026 – The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) consolidated during the current administration a new cycle of investment promotion through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Projects in Assets (PA), with a portfolio of 86 projects and seven amendments valued at around US$ 40 billion, aimed at closing infrastructure gaps and strengthening the country’s competitiveness.

This was announced by PROINVERSIÓN’s Executive Director, Luis Del Carpio, who highlighted that, during the first seven months of 2026, the agency awarded six projects and two contract amendments worth more than US$ 2.455 billion, including initiatives in sanitation, power transmission, airports, and healthcare, such as the redevelopment and outfitting of the Torre Trecca for US$ 1.2 billion, while maintaining the pace of project awards planned for the year.

“The results achieved during our administration demonstrate that Peru has regained significant momentum in promoting investment through PPPs. We have moved from a portfolio to an execution agenda, with projects that are already reaching the market and generating confidence among investors,” he highlighted.

PPP PORTAFOLIO 2026-2028

The short-term portfolio comprises 29 projects worth US$ 4.962 billion, in addition to seven contract amendments worth US$ 7.195 billion. Meanwhile, the medium-term portfolio includes 39 projects worth US$ 20.852 billion that will benefit 18 regions across the country. The long-term portfolio, in turn, includes 18 projects worth US$ 7.796 billion, bringing the total investment agenda for the 2026–2028 period to more than US$ 40 billion, for the clear benefit of the country.

“Today PROINVERSIÓN has a portfolio of close to US$ 40 billion that will allow it to ensure sustained investments during the coming years. Our goal is to ensure that projects move forward under the PPP 5.0 framework with greater predictability, transparency, and efficiency, ultimately delivering better public services,” added the head of the Agency.

The portfolio prioritizes projects in water and sanitation, transportation, health, irrigation, energy, education and logistics, sectors considered strategic to increase productivity and attract long-term private investment. It also incorporates initiatives that will benefit millions of Peruvians through the expansion of public services and the development of national logistics corridors. The strategy also seeks to consolidate six logistics axes that link ports, roads and waterways to improve the country’s connectivity and boost foreign trade.

“Our priority is to develop a mature, technically sound portfolio with clear rules so that investments continue to be executed for the benefit of all Peruvians,” Del Carpio concluded.
