Lima, July 18, 2026 – The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) reports that, during the first half of 2026, it carried out 4,233 technical assistance, capacity-building (training), and outreach activities for 803 public entities and 152 private companies across 24 departments of the country in connection with Works for Taxes, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and Projects in Assets (PA).
Technical assistance activities on the above-mentioned topics totaled 3231 and included responding to inquiries and holding meetings at the national level for the benefit of 575 public entities: ministries, regional governments, and local governments. This support allows for the resolution of regulatory and procedural aspects, guides decision-making, and facilitates the progress of projects with a direct impact on the quality of life of the population.
Also, in the first half of 2026, PROINVERSIÓN developed 176 training workshops on the regulations and procedures of Works for Taxes, PPPs and Projects in Assets at the national level, serving 204 public entities.
With regard to outreach (promotional) activities, the agency carried out 826 activities—including meetings, workshops, and informational events—to promote awareness of the regulations and procedures governing Works for Taxes, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), and Projects in Assets (PA) nationwide among both public entities and private companies. During the reporting period, these activities reached 416 public entities and 152 private companies.
These activities form part of PROINVERSIÓN’s decentralization strategy, which focuses on transferring knowledge to regional and local governments, providing technical assistance, and conducting a comprehensive mapping of opportunities to implement Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Projects in Assets (PA), and Works for Taxes.
This work seeks to ensure that more entities have the necessary tools to develop investments in priority sectors such as transportation, education, health, sanitation, citizen security and public management, generating better services, employment and development opportunities for millions of Peruvians.
The results achieved through Works for Taxes demonstrate the impact of this support. Between January and July 13, 2026, public entities awarded 397 projects and investments totaling a record S/ 6,218 billion, primarily in the transport sector, which accounted for 33% of the total amount awarded, followed by Planning, Management and Contingency Reserve (18%), and Education (18%).
With this territorial deployment, PROINVERSIÓN reaffirms its commitment to supporting national, regional, and local authorities to accelerate sustainable investments, improve public services, and transform community needs into projects that generate well-being and development throughout the country.
