Lima, May 14, 2026 – The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN), together with the National Society of Industries (SNI) and various business associations in the country, will promote the development of infrastructure and public service projects with high economic and social impact in the regions, with the purpose of accelerating investments that contribute to closing gaps, territorial competitiveness and the generation of greater opportunities for the population.
This collaboration will take place within the framework of the National Pact for Infrastructure and Productive Development, an initiative that will bring together representatives from the public sector, the private sector, academia, regional and local governments, chambers of commerce, business associations, MSMEs, production chains and infrastructure specialists, with the aim of identifying, prioritizing and promoting strategic projects with high social and economic impact.
PROINVERSIÓN will play a key role in this effort, by promoting the use of private participation mechanisms such as Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Asset Projects and Works for Taxes, tools that make infrastructure and public services viable in essential sectors such as health, education, transport, sanitation, energy, connectivity, logistics, water security and productive infrastructure.
The pact will begin with meetings in Cajamarca, Arequipa, and Junín, territories selected for their economic and social relevance, as well as for their capacity to boost development in their areas of influence and contribute to the decentralized growth of the country.
These spaces will allow for concrete commitments to be established between authorities, business associations, regional chambers, academia and productive actors, in order to accelerate the execution of investments, strengthen competitiveness and promote a more comprehensive, sustainable and inclusive development.
This initiative involves the SNI, PROINVERSIÓN and member associations of the Union of Associations, including the Association of Exporters (ADEX), Perucámaras, the Automotive Association of Peru (AAP), as well as regional chambers of commerce and business organizations of national and local scope.
The pact will be signed in Cajamarca on Tuesday, May 19; in Arequipa on Friday, May 22; and in Huancayo, Junín, on Friday, May 29.
With this agenda, PROINVERSIÓN reaffirms its commitment to bringing public-private investment closer to the regions, unlocking development opportunities and promoting projects that generate employment, improve public services and raise the quality of life of millions of Peruvians.
