PROINVERSIÓN Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Commercial Corporation to Promote PPPs

The agreement opens new opportunities for collaboration with Canadian companies by leveraging the CCC’s contracting model.

Lima, April 21, 2026.- The Private Investment Promotion Agency, PROINVERSIÓN, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), with the objective of strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting the development of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in Peru.

The agreement will foster collaboration, dialogue, and information exchange to identify and structure investment opportunities in strategic sectors such as transportation, irrigation, and urban development, leveraging Canada’s experience in implementing projects under the PPP framework.

Within this context, the signed memorandum opens new channels for Peru and Canadian companies to work jointly, utilizing the CCC’s contracting model and capitalizing on Canada’s international expertise in infrastructure development.

“The memorandum we signed today allows us to expand the alternatives for structuring and executing infrastructure projects in the country. From the Agency, we seek to create conditions that facilitate the participation of international investors and contribute to closing gaps in priority sectors, all further strengthened under the PPP 5.0 framework,” stated the Executive Director of PROINVERSIÓN, Luis Del Carpio.

For his part, the Ambassador of Canada to Peru, Jean Dominique Ieraci, highlighted that “this memorandum is a practical tool to move forward together, turning ideas into projects and projects into results that positively impact the lives of Peruvians.”

Currently, PROINVERSIÓN is promoting a portfolio of PPP and Asset Projects (PA) for 2026 totaling US$ 18 billion, in key sectors such as transportation, water and sanitation, energy, and social infrastructure, demonstrating the country’s broad investment potential.

With the signing of this memorandum, PROINVERSIÓN reaffirms its role as a facilitator of strategic investments, promoting international partnerships that contribute to sustainable infrastructure development and Peru’s economic growth.
