PROINVERSIÓN Exceeds Annual Target in Works for Taxes, Mobilizing Over PEN 4.569 Billion in Investments Nationwide

Projects in transport, education, health, and security are already benefiting millions of Peruvians, consolidating the Works for Taxes (OxI) mechanism as the fastest tool to close social infrastructure gaps.

Lima, December 15, 2025.- The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) achieved a historic performance in the execution of Works for Taxes (OxI), exceeding its annual investment target for 2025. As of December 12, public entities at all three levels of government and public universities awarded 474 projects totaling PEN 4.569 billion, surpassing the 2024 target of PEN 4.4 billion.

“Works for Taxes has proven to be a solid, transparent mechanism with concrete results. Behind these figures are projects that improve the quality of life of millions of people by providing better transport, education, healthcare, and citizen security,” highlighted PROINVERSIÓN Executive Director Luis Del Carpio.

The announcement was made during the event “Cusco Invests: OxI Portfolio,” attended by regional and local authorities as well as private sector representatives. During the event, the Regional Government of Cusco also presented its 2026 OxI portfolio, comprising 27 projects with an estimated value of PEN 827 million, benefiting the provinces of Acomayo, Anta, Calca, Canas, Canchis, and Chumbivilcas.

The OxI mechanism has consolidated itself as the most efficient route for delivering high-impact public infrastructure and services, supported by a committed technical team that accompanies each project from structuring through implementation.

“The new Works for Taxes regulation strengthens PROINVERSIÓN’s role and allows us to provide closer and more permanent technical assistance to both public entities and investors, ensuring well-structured, results-oriented projects,” concluded the Agency’s Executive Director.

As part of this initiative, PROINVERSIÓN and the Cusco Chamber of Commerce signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement to promote the participation of member companies in the execution of Works for Taxes projects, strengthening public-private coordination and expanding investment opportunities with social impact in the region.

To support this effort, the Cusco Chamber of Commerce will provide office space within its facilities for PROINVERSIÓN’s technical advisors and officials to conduct project promotion and advisory activities.
