Lima, March 18, 2026.- The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN), on behalf of the Regional Government of Piura, called on March 18, 2026 an International Public Tender for the project “Operation and Maintenance of the Sullana Support Hospital II-2”.
The objective of the tender is to select a specialized operator who will assume the operation and maintenance of the services of Gray Coat (infrastructure management, maintenance and hospital equipment, among others) and Green Coat (clinical support services, including sterilization, laboratory, imaging and hemodialysis)
The project’s contractual model is designed to ensure that the private operator guarantees the continuous availability of the infrastructure, equipment, and complementary services, under standards of quality, energy efficiency, and patient safety. While the State retains responsibility for providing medical services, these will continue to be free for the population.
The contract is expected to be awarded in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Sullana Support Hospital II-2 is one of the most important establishments in the north of the country in its category, and is part of the national strategy to close gaps in health. The initiative contemplates the participation of the private sector under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, which will guarantee operational sustainability, technological replacement and comprehensive maintenance of the asset for a period of 17 years.
The project would directly benefit more than 650,000 inhabitants of the provinces of Sullana, Tambogrande, Las Lomas, Talara and Ayabaca, in the Piura region; ensuring the provision of hospital support services with a modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment.
This project would not only contribute to closing gaps in health infrastructure, but would also promote the transfer of technical knowledge and strengthen regional capacities, boosting the local economy.
With this initiative, PROINVERSIÓN reaffirms its commitment to promoting sustainable investments, with clear rules and a focus on results, consolidating a modern, efficient and resilient public health model.
