The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) carried out on October 16 and 17, in Beijing, China, an intense promotional activity for the Ancon Industrial Park (PIA) project, a logistics industrial megaproject that will require an estimated investment of US$ 762 million and will boost the social and economic development of North of Lima.
For the 2023 - 2024 period, the entity is promoting 42 PPP projects for more than US$ 8,500 million; while for the 2025 - 2026 period, PROINVERSIÓN has incorporated 14 projects for more than US$ 6,500 million.
The objective is to guarantee a quality and reliable supply of electricity for the direct benefit of seven (7) departments in the northern part of the country, and to promote industrial, commercial and service activities.
The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has been organizing Roadshows in Mexico and Chile to attract potential investors from both countries to the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) projects and Projects in Assets currently promoted by the entity.
PROINVERSIÓN reports that the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has a portfolio of ten (10) projects, for more than S/ 2,000 million, which are ready and in search of private companies to be financed through the mechanism Works for Taxes (OxI). These ten initiatives correspond to road and telecommunications projects whose implementation will improve road access and optimize the digital divide in various areas of the country.
The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has been strengthening the attraction of foreign investments through Roadshows and/or participation in various international events to ensure the competition and success of international public tenders for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) projects and Projects in Assets.
The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) informed that the resources of the regional governments (GOREs), local governments and public universities to execute projects through the mechanism of Works for Taxes total S/ 25,613 million, which represents an increase of 58% with respect to the amount fixed in 2022 (S/ 16,237 million).
Between January and June 2023, the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) awarded six (6) projects under the modalities of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Projects in Assets.
