Seven million residents in eight regions will benefit with reliable energy for the domestic sector, productive and commercial activities, and services.

Between July 15 and 17, the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) and the National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct in Peru before the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), received a mission from the international entity with the aim of learning more about our policies and practices in Responsible Business Conduct.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency - PROINVERSIÓN has been strengthening its work with ministries, regional and local governments to develop projects in Public-Private Partnerships and Projects in Assets (PA). For the 2025-2026 period alone, the agency has 70 projects in its portfolio that would generate an investment of approximately US$ 16 billion.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency - PROINVERSIÓN is promoting five projects to modernize 44 schools in Metropolitan Lima and Cusco, with an investment of approximately US$ 615 million that will benefit more than 89 thousand students in regular basic education per year.

ProInversión reports that there are nine companies with international experience interested in the Operation and Maintenance of the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital (HEVES) project to be awarded at the end of the year through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

In the second half of 2024, the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) plans to award 17 projects, worth more than US$ 3 billion, through the modalities of Public-Private Partnerships and Projects in Assets in strategic sectors such as electricity, sanitation, road, rail, health and industrial development.

Only in the first half of the year, public entities awarded 28 projects for a record S/ 1631 million, the highest amount since the OxI mechanism was launched 16 years ago. As a breakthrough, only in the first week of July, seven projects were awarded.

Likewise, in the last 18 months, the agency awarded 20 public-private projects for more than US$ 7.4 billion in electrical energy, telecommunications, health, port, mining and roads.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency - PROINVERSIÓN initiated the structuring of the projects "3.5 GHz Frequency Band (3,300 - 3,400 MHz and 3600 - 3,800 MHz)" and "26 GHz Frequency Band (25.9 - 26.7 GHz)" that will allow to provide 5G mobile telephony and internet services nationwide.

In the next two months, the Private Investment Promotion Agency - PROINVERSIÓN plans to award four investment projects in Public-Private Partnership and Projects in Assets that will generate investments of US$ 1 761 million in electricity, transport, mining and sanitation in the country.
