PROINVERSIÓN reports that the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has a portfolio of ten (10) projects, for more than S/ 2,000 million, which are ready and in search of private companies to be financed through the mechanism Works for Taxes (OxI). These ten initiatives correspond to road and telecommunications projects whose implementation will improve road access and optimize the digital divide in various areas of the country.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) informed that the resources of the regional governments (GOREs), local governments and public universities to execute projects through the mechanism of Works for Taxes total S/ 25,613 million, which represents an increase of 58% with respect to the amount fixed in 2022 (S/ 16,237 million).

Between January and June 2023, the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) awarded six (6) projects under the modalities of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Projects in Assets.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) reported that to date the amount of investments of Works for Taxes in search of private companies is 371 for an estimated amount of more than S/ 13,000 million.

Given the increase in passenger flow on Line 1 of the Lima Metro and the upcoming integration with Line 2 and future Lines 3 and 4, the concessionaire Tren Urbano de Lima, in charge of Line 1, said it plans to present a transport capacity expansion project that will benefit one million passengers per day.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) awarded the Viettel Peru S.A.C. company the AWS-3 and 2.3 GHz Radio Spectrum Band projects by proposing the largest coverage with 4G mobile services (telephony and mobile internet) in rural locations in the country.

The hospitals will be awarded with an investment of more than US$ 320 million.

AMSAC and Rio Tinto, with the intervention of PROINVERSIÓN, signed an addendum that allows the continuity of the mining project.

PROINVERSIÓN awarded the company ACCIONA CONCESIONES S.L. the projects "220 kV Ica - Poroma Link, extensions and associated substations" and "220 kV Cáclic - Jaén Norte Link ITC, extensions and associated substations"

A second project promoted by the entity -in this case by Works for Taxes- is the COAR of Cajamarca, worth more than S/ 79 million, which will benefit basic education students with outstanding abilities.
