The state will promote large Infrastructure Projects
Lima, August 27, 2021.- The State will resume the promotion of the large infrastructure projects that Peru needs, assured the president of the Council of Ministers, Guido Bellido. "The National Infrastructure Plan for Competitiveness 2019 was an important input to identify key gaps whose closure is essential for the economic and social development of the country," he added.
He mentioned that the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through the various infrastructure projects under its responsibility, contributes to closing gaps.
Initiatives
"For example, we have the expansion of the Jorge Chávez International Airport, the rehabilitation of the Chiclayo Airport, the Salaverry Port Terminal, the rehabilitation of the Huancayo-Huancavelica Railway, the Callao Outer Harbor, among others," explained the Chief of Staff.
He also asserted that the continuity of the projects that make up the National Infrastructure Plan for Competitiveness will contribute to the reactivation that the economy needs in the current context of Covid-19.
"In turn, they will require the proactive commitment of the State and the private sector for the benefit of the Peruvian population," he noted.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) recently announced that the contracting process of the Callao Outer Harbor will resume soon, a work that will allow ordering the entry of trucks to the port terminal.
