President Pedro Castillo swears in his first Cabinet of Ministers
Lima, July 30, 2021.- The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo Terrones, swore in the Ministerial Cabinet in a ceremony held at the Gran Teatro Nacional, in the district of San Borja.
In the morning, the President swore in the new head of the Council of Ministers, Guido Bellido Ugarte, in the Ayacucho region.
This swearing-in was part of the symbolic ceremony of assumption of office that took place in the historical Pampa de la Quinua, the place where the independence of our country was sealed.
The Council of Ministers of the administration of the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, was thus completed.
The Head of State was sworn in on Wednesday, July 28th in the Congress of the Republic and addressed his first message to the Nation, where he emphasized that he will continue the fight against the covid-19 pandemic and ensure health as a fundamental right.
He also expressed his commitment to the economic recovery of families and his promise to banish corruption in the country.
