Peru would lead regional growth
Lima, August 23, 2021.- Peru will register an expansion greater than the average for Latin America and the world in 2021, projected the panelists of the FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast LatinFocus.
Thus, they foresee that the Peruvian gross domestic product (GDP) will grow 9.6% this year, while the averages for Latin America and the world will advance 5.7% and 5.9% at the end of this year, respectively.
In addition, they consider that Peru will have a greater expansion than China (8.6%), the United States (6.6%), the Eurozone (4.5%), and Japan (2.6%) this year, according to their latest report from August 2021.

Meanwhile, next year Peru will grow more than the Latin American average, but will advance less than the world average, the panelists projected.
In this way, the Peruvian GDP will expand 3.9% in 2022, while the averages for Latin America and the world will grow 2.9% and 4.4% next year, respectively.
