November 26, 2021. Lima, Peru.- The Minister of Production, Jorge Luis Prado Palomino, said that investments in the sector will grow around 27% for the next fiscal year 2022.
In that sense, he explained that of the total budget, S/.345.2 million will be allocated for investments, a figure 26.9% higher than that allocated in 2021, when it reached S/.271.85 million.
Let us remember that the approved budget for the Production sector for fiscal year 2022 amounts to S/.851.8 million.
Prado Palomino explained that among the prioritized investment projects are: the integral improvement of the artisanal fishing pier of Huacho (S/10.58 million), the creation of services of the artisanal fishing pier La Cruz de Tumbes (S / 20.85 million), improvement of the artisanal fishing pier Las Conchitas de Ancón (S / 5.03 million).
As well as for the national project of innovation in aquaculture (S / 45.97 million), improvement of the levels of productive innovation at the national level (S / 73.56 million), creation of technological innovation services of the productive chain of hydrobiological products in the Moquegua region (S / 7.1 million).
He also added that it will be allocated for the creation of technological services in the productive chain of the leather and footwear sector in the district of Saño, province of Huancayo, S / 14.05 million; improvement and expansion of technological innovation services for the generation of added value of the wood industry in Ucayali S/ 11.18 million, among others.
On the other hand, the minister recalled that in 2021 there was a modified institutional budget (PIM) of S / 760.8 million for the benefit of the industrial and fishing-aquaculture sector.
In this context, he said that until November 19, the budget execution reached S/ 550.6 million, which represents a total advance of 74%. "At the end of fiscal year 2021, an execution of S/ 736.7 million is projected, which will represent 97% of the budget," said Prado.
